The 2012 WCHA Breeder's Championship Futurity in conjunction with The Big Money Halter Futurity and Tennessee Quarter Horse Association Show in Murfreesboro, Tennessee this past weekend was a huge success with over 400 stalls rented for the event. Non Pro Josh Weakly won under all eight judges with his weanling colt, A Venger in the WCHA Open and Non Pro Breeder's Futurity as well as being champions in the Big Money Futurity winning over $16,000.
"It was a great horse show with huge payouts and a lot of good competition," Weakly told GoHorseShow.
The show started with the WCHA halter classes and the over fence classes. The hunters enjoyed a beautiful afternoon jumping and the numbers were bigger than they have been for the past couple years. Bob and Karen Johnson and Crystal Holman Photography sponsored a pizza party on Friday night. Saturday was a long day with The Big Money Futurity and AQHA halter classes not finishing until 6:30p.m. The WCHA and The Big Money Futurity sponsored an exhibitor dinner in the Miller Room on Saturday night. Sunday morning, the trail showed outside and the numbers were outstanding. The circuit awards were personalized iPhones, iPads or Kindle Fire covers.
"It was a packed weekend with great judges, many vendors and excellent competition," says TQHA show manager Jennifer McGrath. "We have already secured the dates and look forward to 2013!"
