The sounds of an auction briefly stopped the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association’s four-judge weekend AQHA show at Roberts Arena in Wilmington, Ohio, but exhibitors didn’t seem to mind. On April 6, between the horsemanship and western pleasure events, youth, parents, exhibitors and friends gathered in Bradley Arena to bid on a number of donated items to benefit Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Youth Association member Ericka Priest, 18; her mother, Kara; brother, Tyler, 16; and sisters Reagan, 11, and Cassie, 10, whose home burned to the ground on March 28.
