According to Mark Harrell Horse Shows, show manager of the Mid-Summer Fling in Du Quoin, Illinois, the four judge, two split combined shows ended with about 3500 total entries. The Senior Western Pleasure had 30 and 35 with 20 on showing on Wednesday's special events' show. The Senior Trail had 40 and 45 entries with 30 on Wednesday's special events. Junior Pleasure was a consistent 3 pointer. Even Wednesday's Amateur Western Pleasure special event had 15. Performance Geldings 20 and 25 entries. Senior Hunter Under Saddle was a 4 pointer. Amateur HUS had 15-20.
The competition has been as hot at the temperature.
The IKI show starts Thursday and runs through Tuesday with a total of five judges. Many people left but their spots have been taken by others & the IKI is shaping up to be a great show too!
