“We totally understand that budgets are tight, but we think we have a good story to tell about the amount of money we bring into Columbus and Ohio,” Cam Foreman said.

The All American Quarter Horse Congress wants to build additional facilities at the state fairgrounds so the annual show can continue to grow and stay in Columbus.

Its contract with the fairgrounds runs through 2015. And Cam Foreman, the manager of the congress, mentioned the possibility that the congress might move.

“We’d like to grow, but right now we’re maxed out,” Foreman said of the congress, which is put on by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. “The only way to expand is with added facilities.”

Congress
Love the Congress and the excitement, but the traffic, stalls and RV parking is a nightmare, along with not enough pens to exercise your horses in. Would like to see it moved to a central location in the US where you have lots of space to park, good stalls, lots of exercise pens and RV parking without having to come in 2/3 weeks in advance to park your RV. This would give the opportunity to some exhibitors who can not make the long trip to Ohio to attend.

Just a thought!!

Would love to see Congress expand. It would be so much nicer to have more indoor stalls. Those tents cant keep horse so anxious and excited. Would really hate to see Congress leave Ohio.
