Having earned the reputation as “The Innovator” when it comes to horse shows, the Reichert Celebration has done it again. The newest classes to be added to their widely popular slot class program are 3 and 4 Year Old Open Trail and a Non Pro Trail.

The 3 and 4 Year Old Open Trail has 40 entry slots available, at $1,500 per slot. The purse is estimated to be $60,000 if all slots are sold. The Non Pro Trail has 30 slots available, at $1,000 per slot, giving it an estimated purse of $30,000 if all slots are sold. Slots are sold on a first come, first serve basis and are only reserved with payment. No slots will be sold after July 8. Horses are to be named by July 8. Exhibitors may show up to two horses.

The Premiere Signature Trail Classes will debut at the 2010 Reichert Celebration, August 6-15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Beginning in 2012, all horses entered in the Trail Slot Classes will have to be purchased as yearlings through the Reichert Stakes Sale Program. Yearlings purchased at this year’s sale will be eligible as three year olds in the 2012 classes. Currently, two other Reichert Celebration Premiere Signature Classes are limited to Reichert Stakes Sale horses – the 2 Year Old Intermediate Western Pleasure and the 2 Year Old Non Pro Western Pleasure.

“With the popularity of the trail classes really growing, we wanted to support that by including a trail class in our slot class program,” says Terry Schroeder of The Reichert Celebration. “Trail seems to be a logical move for horses beyond the pleasure pen and we are very excited about featuring it at the Celebration.”
