The 2012 SmartPak AQHA West Novice Championship and Nutrena AQHA East Novice Championship shows kicked off the first day of competition on Thursday. The exhibitors in the West filled the arena at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and the exhibitors in the East saddled up at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 

Expect to see much excitement during the inaugural event dedicated to AQHA Novice exhibitors. Novice exhibitors may compete with their qualified American Quarter Horse in any of the 12 events that include halter, western and English disciplines.
