The Mid Summer Fling and Summer Spectacular in DuQuoin, Illinois is currently under way, June 16-24th with nine sets of points. The judges for the Mid Summer Fling show were Dolly Chayer, Beckey Schooler, Mike Hawkins, and Karen Graham. There was $14,000 added--$1,000 each NSBA Approved class for the Mid Summer Fling Circuit.

Many people choose to compete just at the first part of the show and depart in time for some of the big futurities, including Pat and Sara Heeley of Iowa. "We just got home from a great show in DuQuoin, Illinois. Pat brought home a trophy in the Open 3's with Certainly A Goodbar and also had two firsts and two seconds in a tough Junior Western Pleasure class. Now packing for the Tom Powers," says Sara Heeley, when discussing her husband, Patrick Heeley's wins in Illinois.

The Summer Spectacular which starts on Wednesday the 19th, will have Pete McAlister, Kelly McDowall, Robin Frid, Suzy Jeane, and Andrea Simons as their judges.
