GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Cathrin Gutmann of Austria on the purchase of Gold Styled VP (Goldie). The pretty mare is by World and Congress Champion sire Vested Pine and out of Zippos Stylin Starlet. In 2007, Gutmann's trainer, Karin Prevedel purchased the western pleasure mare as a two-year-old from Gil Galyean and brought her to Italy.
"I was spending a week in Italy with my horses and found out that Goldie was for sale and I bought her right away," says Gutmann, who is excited about her new mount. "She is such a nice horse. She has great breeding, great movement and a great mind. That's not easy to find! I wanted to try trail for some time, and, now with this horse, I will make my first steps toward that goal."
In 2008, Karin's husband, Ruggero, won the European Open Pleasure Celebration and Karin took home the bronze medal in the Junior Western Pleasure at the European Championship Show with the talented western pleasure mare. In 2009, Goldie was the European Reserve Champion in the Amateur Western Pleasure with Karin's daughter, Darilyn, who is also known for her European horse show clothing company, Piccola Rosa. Goldie was then sold to a customer in Germany before she was sent back to Prevedel last November.
"When her owner surprisingly decided to sell her, I took the chance," says Gutmann, who also owns and shows top show horses, Al Be Graceful and Only Afraid In The Dark in the amateur events. "She is currently being prepared to be shown in the western riding and trail," Gutmann says. "We're also are trying to get some embryos from her, and I'm really looking forward to this show season with Goldie and my other horses!"
