The 2014 TQHA Circuit took place September 12-14th in Murfreesboro, TN at the Miller Coliseum. With more than 235 stalls booked going into the weekend, the show looked to be a good one—and it sure was! Healthy class sizes coupled with good, friendly competition was the trend for the weekend. Keith Miller, Liz Baker, Dawn Clason, and Tina Anderson judged the circuit.

American Quarter Horse enthusiasts from all over Europe and beyond had their eyes on Kreuth from August 9-17, 2014, where the FEQHA held the European Championship of American Quarter Horses. Nine days packed with top performances in different classes, more than 5.000 entries, 417 horse and rider combinations, 60 European champions, 20 circuit champions. Participants from all over Europe competed for ribbons and trophies.

The Gordyville Shootout and AQHA show took place July 17th through the 20th in Gifford, Illinois. There were six AQHA split/combined shows, the annual shootout, and NSBA Futurity Classic. "The western pleasure classes were well attended and very competitive," says Gordyville Show Manager Jody Quiram.

The 2014 Country Music Circuit was held in Harriman, TN on July 18th thru 20th. This show was blessed with some cooler temperatures—and despite the rain that was in the area, exhibitors managed to have a great time. Judges for the show were Dean Bogart, Charlene Carter, Stephanie Lynn, and Brent Maxwell. The show had good participation in classes across the board, from fence classes to ranch horse pleasure.

"Overall the show went well for all exhibitors as the weather was cooler than normal, rain stayed away for the most part, and everyone was able to enjoy dinner on time as well as practice patterns for the next day with the show ending before dark every day," Amateur exhibitor Ashley Hadlock of Nashville, Tennessee told GoHorseShow.

The AQHA/NSBA Bavarian Summer Show was held the first week of July in Kreuth, Germany. Featuring four AQHA shows and the NSBA European Championships. "This show is one of the most prestigious shows all over Europe. The icing on the cake was the perfect weather, 90+ degrees and sun every day," says Arne Kuhn, a trainer from Germany.

The Dogwood Classic in Harriman, Tennessee was held June 25th through the 29th with nice-sized classes and great judges. Select Amateur Jerry Allen of Cookeville, Tennessee had a great show with his homebred mare, Adeetailedinvitation, where he picked up some point in the Amateur Select Showmanship and made his debut in the hunter under saddle. "The atmosphere was light and friendly with a lot of smiling faces," Allen told GoHorseShow.

The 2014 Oregon Summer Classic is currently underway, June 23rd through the 29th in Central Point, Oregon.
The 2014 Oregon Summer Classic is currently underway, June 23rd through the 29th in Central Point, Oregon. There is a total of eight judges over six days in covered arenas at the Expo Center. "The show is going great," says Amateur Jennifer Kyle, who is showing in the all-around events at the show. "Everyone has been wonderful and the show crew has been great. "The ground is nice this year and the show hasn't run too late at night."

The Keystone Showdown that was held in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania just wrapped up Sunday with a huge turnout, great weather, and tough competition. There were 100 more horses that competed at the show this year with a combined total of over 6,000 entries for the six judges combined. Show management added more tent stalls to try and keep up with the demand of people wanting to attend the show.
