An unprecedented win at the Arizona Sun Circuit has brought to the limelight a young and talented gelding named Solo Cup. The three year-old Appaloosa competed against Quarter Horses and ended up beating everyone in a deep Open Three Year-Old Western Pleasure Class with Troy Compton in the saddle.

Eighteen year-old Kelsey Keathly of Binghamton, New York has had a few bumps in the road during her lifetime, but she has handled it with a determined spirit and positive attitude. When she was born, she was diagnosed with a complete heart block and had to get a pacemaker installed at the age of five. Despite this challenge, Kelsey fell in love with horses, and, under her mother's watchful eye, she grew up riding and showing horses.

Alicia Berry and Mac In Time Have Golden Year

Twenty-two year-old Alicia Berry of Brandon, Mississippi has come a long way from when she first started showing horses. Berry recalls a time in 2000 when she showed a 23 year-old barrel horse, in a pleasure class on the wrong lead with a leopard designed saddle! With an incredible 38 PHBA World Championships under her belt, she has certainly improved from her humble beginnings to make her mark on the national level.

NSBA Issues Press Release Regarding Alleged Abuse at Reichert

The National Snaffle Bit Association has been made aware of a report of alleged animal abuse during a horse show held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas on Sept 9th. The NSBA monitor, Gary Trubee, was on the show grounds and has filed the report with the association. The American Quarter Horse Association steward, the Fort Worth Police Department and Animal Control were notified of the incident. NSBA along with AQHA will be conducting a thorough investigation in this matter.
