Susan Wilson and Knowtorious Win Amateur Western Riding Title

Amateur Susan Wilson has had the best of both worlds. Wilson has won World Championships at both the APHA and AQHA World Shows. She grew up in California as a horse crazy kid, and finally as an adult, she has been able to live out her life long dream to show horses at a top level. Wilson and Knowtorious also just found out they were the AQHA Amateur Western Riding High Point Champions.

Vern Habighorst of Scottsdale, Arizona must have been given a hard time this past year by his granddaughters for selling RPL My Te Cheerful to Josh Weakly because he just bought him back for them to show. 'Well, yeah, they weren't too thrilled with me selling Henry, but luckily, Josh agreed to let me buy him back,' Vern told GoHorseShow. 'Everything has a price, and he now has a forever home, and he isn't going anywhere.'

Lauren Eichstadt of Greenville, Pennsylvania, is named one of Sports Illustrated�s Faces in the Crowd in the January 23, 2012, issue. Faces in the Crowd, Sports Illustrated�s weekly feature, has been highlighting standout amateur athletes since 1956. Eichstadt was nominated by the American Quarter Horse Association because of her accomplishments throughout the year.

World Champion Rider Danielle Long Purchases Congress Winner

Congratulations to World Champion rider, Danielle Long, on the purchase of 2011 Congress Green Trail Champion, Got The Advantage. Trainer Chad Evans of Parker, Colorado was aboard and had two firsts and two seconds and beat ninety-seven horses for the win. 'He is such a great horse, and I am excited for the Long's and High Point to get him - they will love him,' says former trainer, Chad Evans.
